QuantSchool's aim is to make the learning of finance a fun experience.
Our children coming out of the school system do not seem to have a grasp on the basics of finance.Â
Most of the introductions to this world seem to be rooted in dry mathematical concepts.
Knowing maths is, no doubt, essential to gain mastery over this subject - but it is our firm belief that this can be introduced gently.
Our Finance section is devoted to younger students (age profile 12 to 15). We present the concepts via YouTube videos through real world situations. The maths is restricted to simple (long) division and multiplication.
The Finance section in our website that backs the YouTube videos is targeted to sixth form student (age profile15 to 18). We delve deeper into some of the issues presented in the YouTube video but still keep the maths simple.
The Quant Finance section is really geared towards University students doing courses in mathematics and/or finance. Knowledge of calculus and stochastic methods would make understanding these sections easier. These sections are suitable for those trying to understand the working of markets and Investment Banks in particular.
Feedback is essential to keep the medium of instruction digestible. So please do provide us with any ideas that you wish us to undertake.
